Chipotle Headquarters West

The first large project for AO began with a modest office revamp for Chipotle’s founder in his hometown of Denver and then evolved into a larger, more extensive renovation. Several thousand square feet were added during construction to keep pace with the company’s exceedingly fast growth. The program includes many different administrative and creative departments each with specific functions and relationships to the others. With a tight budget we were able to build a project that celebrated these connections with textured and playful public and shared zones while developing an architectural language to reflect their emerging brand ethos. This project initiated a decade-long relationship involving another national headquarters and stores throughout the world.
