AO started working with Basu Ratman in 2014. Although Basu was fortunate to start his adventure with food and hospitality luminaries Jean-George Vongerichten and Phil Saurez, Basu did not have a strong food background himself. Rather, his vision for a new type of fast casual Indian cuisine pivots on the memories of the food on which his mother raised him: food which was surprising, full of interesting tastes, and made with the freshest ingredients.
